10 Reasons Why You Should Go To The Nuggets-Bulls Game
September 24, 2015 | Men's Basketball
BOULDER - The Nuggets are coming! Â The Nuggets are coming! The Denver Nuggets will host the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 8 at the Coors Events Center, marking the second straight season the Nuggets will come to the CU-Boulder campus for a preseason game. Â
Here's 10 reasons why you don't want to miss this game (in no particular order):Â
1. Â It marks the first home preseason game for the Nuggets this season and is one of just two preseason games in the state.Â

3. It's fans first chance to see first-round pick Emmanuel Mudiay in action. Â It's also the first home game for new head coach Michael Malone.Â
4. Kenneth Faried. Â The rebounding beast was on the All-Tournament team at the FIBA World Cup and helped Team USA bring home a Gold Medal with a perfect 9-0 record.Â
5. Danilo Gallinari. Â He ended last season on fire, averaging 19 points per game after the All-Star break. Â He's back to start a season for the first time in three years, and he also helped Italy to the quarterfinals at Eurobasket in September.Â
6. Â Veterans. Â The Nuggets have a good mix of youth and experience, the experience coming in the form of Wilson Chandler, Jameer Nelson, Darrel Arthur, Randy Foye and J.J. Hickson.Â
7. Â Youth Movement. Â On the other side, the Nuggets have 10 players on the current roster with three or fewer years of experience. Â
8.  While the C-Unit can no longer heckle Nuggets second year man Nick Johnson (Arizona), they can put Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg (Iowa State) and Kirk Hinrich (Kansas) back on the hot seat. BTW, anybody know why Hoiberg's twitter cover photo is from CU's campus? Check it out! Plus, we all know Spencer Dinwiddie is a better Mayor anyway!Â
9. Also check out a loaded Bulls team that includes four All-Stars in Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah. Â
10. Buter was recently at a Broncos game watching his close friend Demarius Thomas, so it stands to reason that DT could be at the Events Center, as well.Â
