Buffs Move Up One Spot to No. 22 In Top 25

October 18, 2016 | Soccer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Colorado's soccer team moved up on spot to No. 22 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 poll released on Tuesday. It is the highest ranking for the Buffaloes since being ranked No. 20 on Sept. 8, 2009. Last week the Buffs were ranked No. 23 and that was the first national ranking since 2009. The team is also ranked No. 22 in this week's Soccer America poll and No. 25 by Top Drawer Soccer.

CU (12-3-0 overall, 6-0-0 Pac-12) is coming off a 2-1 win over Washington on Friday. Danica Evans led the team to the victory with a pair of first-half goals.

Colorado is currently on a 10-match winning streak, the second-longest in school history behind an 11-match winning streak in 2003. CU is also 6-0 in Pac-12 play, the first time the team has opened conference play with six consecutive wins in school history.

The Buffs will play at No. 3 Stanford on Thursday at 7 p.m. MT and at No. 10 California on Sunday at 2 p.m.
