Colorado-Oregon Notes

February 04, 2016 | Men's Basketball

Colorado's series lead over Oregon is narrowed to 9-6 with the teams splitting the season series (Colorado won in Boulder, 91-87 on Jan. 17). The Ducks have won 5-of-7 all-time meetings in Eugene.

Colorado entered the game as the Pac-12's best free throw and 3-point shooting team and had sub-par nights in both categories. The Buffaloes shot a season-low 42.9 percent from the foul line (6-of-14) and 30 percent from 3-point range (6-of-20).

Colorado won the battle of the boards 42-38, marking the 20th time in 23 games the Buffs have outrebounded their opponent (17-3 record in those games).

The Buffaloes have shot just 33.8 percent in the first half the last two games (22-of-65).

Josh Scott (17 points, 7 rebounds, 7-12 FG) started his 112th game, tying Nate Tomlinson (2008-12) for fourth in CU history. He has scored in double-digits in all 23 games and led the Buffaloes in scoring for the 13th time this season. Scott's 7-of-12 from the field (.583) was a nice bounce back from hitting just 9-of-27 the last previous two games.

George King (16 points, 8 rebounds) had a career- and team-season high 19 field goal attempts. His eight rebounds were one off his career high and his best in a Pac-12 game. King has pulled down 14 rebounds the last two contests (7.0 rpg). He recorded his 11th game of the season with at least three 3-pointers and has a team-best 52 for the year.

Tory Miller (10 points, 6 rebounds 4-7 FG) has 40 rebounds over the last six games (6.7 rpg), more than half coming on the offensive end (3.7 orpg). Miller scored in double figures for the fifth time this season and second time in the past three games.

Xavier Talton had a season-high five assists. He played in his 124th career game tying Nate Tomlinson for fourth on CU's all-time list.
