BOULDER -
Two singles players and two doubles pairs were crowned champions on Sunday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Summer Circuit at the University of Colorado Boulder's South Campus Tennis Complex.

A high school player from Littleton, Colo., captured the men's singles championship, defeating the University of Denver's Ignatius Castileno 7-6 (3), 6-2 in the finals. Rebecca Weissmann from LSU won the women's singles title, topping Tulane's Julieta Dalmau 7-5, 6-0 in the championship match.

In doubles play, Castileno and Zach Fryer from the University of Denver won the men's championship 8-2 in the finals over UT Dallas's Ashwin Vaithianathan and a high school player. Madison Porter from Colorado State was a part of the women's championship pair with University of Seattle's Kelly Woodman and earned an 8-7 (3) win in the finals.

"We played a lot of tennis this weekend and we had some really good tight matches," Colorado head coach Nicole Kenneally said. "Overall there was great sportsmanship and competition and everyone got their money's worth. Congrats to all the winners and well competed by everyone."

The ITA Summer Circuit has been contested since 1993, and is considered an "open" event by the NCAA, allowing for all the different levels to compete with each other. The Mountain Region is one of nine other regional circuits (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Central, Texas, Northern California and Southern California), consisting of four consecutive open tournaments all played in July that lead up to the ITA/USTA National Summer Championships in Bloomington, Ind., in August.
