Colorado Golf Day Set For August 29

July 28, 2016 | Men's Golf

BOULDER — Colorado Golf Day, the main fundraising event for the University of Colorado men's golf team, is set for Monday, August 29 at Boulder Country Club.

Participants this year get the opportunity to play the course that will host the 2017 Pac-12 Conference Men's Golf Championships next April.

The format is a four-person shamble with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start, and entry fees include lunch, beverages, a heavy appetizer awards reception and prizes (a shamble is where everyone tees off, but then everyone plays in from the location of the best drive).  Individual entry fees are $250, with a team of four costing $1,000; each group will be competing on behalf of their designated golf club and three members of each team must be closely associated with that club (member, pro, staff, etc.) and the winning team will receive a rotating trophy to be on display at their club.

There are also sponsorship opportunities available, as all net proceeds from the event go to the Men's Golf Team Excellence Fund to help defray assorted expenses over the course of the season.

For more information on the event, please contact Coach Roy Edwards at roy.edwards@colorado.edu, or contact Gabbie Pelloni at gabbie.pelloni@colorado.edu or 303-492-6141. On-line registration is also available.
