Buffs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS — The University of Colorado track and field team placed 17 individuals, 10 women and seven men, on the USTFCCCA All-Academic team. The women's team also earned All-Academic team status.

Ryan Forsyth, Nick Harris, Joe Klecker, Morgan Pearson, Adam Peterman, Jaron Thomas and Connor Winter earned the honor on the men's side, while the women named to the team include: Maddie Alm, Kaitlyn Benner, Mackenzie Caldwell, Erin Clark, Kelsey English, Ana Holland, Dani Jones, Gabrielle Scott, Cayla Seligman and Abrianna Torres.

Individual athletes must have a GPA of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).

To qualify for the team award, the squad must have a team cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better. CU's women recorded a 3.17 GPA. A total of 220 women's teams and 122 men's teams earned the distinction.
