Correal And Leonard Earn Academic All-Pac-12 Honors

SAN FRANCISCO - Colorado women's basketball players Zoe Correal and Kennedy Leonard both earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors on Wednesday. Both players were named to the honorable mention.

To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have appeared in over 50 percent of their team's games. They also must have been at their current institution for over one year or two consecutive semesters.

Correal, a senior from San Francisco, has a 3.314 GPA and is majoring in psychology with a minor in education. On the court, she averaged 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds this season, while shooting a team-high 56.3 percent from the floor. She wrapped up her CU career with 389 points and 396 rebounds, appearing in 116 games with 61 starts. This is the third time in her career she has earned Academic All-Pac-12.

Leonard, a junior from Southlake, Texas, has a 3.035 GPA and is majoring in communication with minors in business and leadership. She averaged 14.7 points and 6.5 assists this season, breaking CU's single-season record with 200 assists on the season, while starting all 31 games. She also had three double-doubles. Leonard has now earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors two times in her career.

CU wrapped up the 2017-18 season with a 15-16 record and reached the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament.
