Buffs Dip Slightly In Rankings
April 30, 2018 | Lacrosse
BOULDER — The Colorado Buffaloes saw slight movement in the nationals rankings this week, falling a few spots in two of the three polls.
Â
CU held strong at 14th in the IWLCA coaches poll, but moved down two spots to 13th in the latest NIKE/US Lacrosse Magazine poll. The Buffs also dipped in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media poll moving from 13th last week, to 15th this week.
Â
Colorado split a pair of games last week at the inaugural Pac-12 Championships. The Buffs, who had a first-round bye in the tournament as the top-seed, defeated Oregon 16-6 in the semi-finals. Two days later in the championship game, CU suffered a 15-6 loss to second-seeded Stanford.
Â
The 13-5 Buffs have a strong resume and will likely advance to their second straight NCAA Tournament. The tournament selection show is set for Sunday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. MT, and will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
