2018: Indoor: Hopkins competed in the long jump and the triple jump during her 2018 campaign. She only competed once in the long jump and earned tenth place at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight Classic in January, with a distance of 16-10.75/5.15. At the Air Force Invitational in January she earned third place in the triple jump and earned a mark of 38-5.0/11.71.
Outdoor: During the outdoor season, Hopkins also competed in the long jump and triple jump. She earned second place in the long jump at the Jerry Quiller Classic in March, with a distance of 17-07.5/5.37. In April, she competed in the triple jump at the Kit Mayer Invitational and earned second place and a personal record of 38-07.00/11.76.

2017: Indoor: In her first year as a Buff, Hopkins concentrated on the triple jump. She recorded her PR distance of 38-11.75 at the Air Force Invitational (1/20) and placed third. Hopkins also recorded a first place finish at the Joe Davies Classic (2/18) with a jump of 38-4.25.
Outdoor: Hopkins competed in the triple jump during her first outdoor campaign. She earned herself a first place finish in her first meet of the season, the Jerry Quiller Classic (3/18), with a jump of 38-6. Her PR came at the end of the season when she jumped 38-7 at the Air Force Twilight (5/5).

HIGH SCHOOL: Hopkins competed in track and field at Fairview High School, and owns the triple jump school record (37-3.50). She also competed in the long jump, sprints and was a member of the relay teams at FHS. During the 2016 indoor season, Hopkins placed sixth in the triple jump (37-3.50) at the Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho. She was also a team captain for the track team her senior year.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Hopkins is majoring in strategic communication and is pursuing a minor in environmental design. She has a GPA greater than 3.20.

PERSONAL: Sarah Elizabeth Hopkins was born on August 5, 1998 in Boulder, Colo. She is the daughter of Peter and Debbie Hopkins and has one brother and one sister. She enjoys playing and writing music. Hopkins can plan the flute, piccolo and guitar and enjoys singing. She was a member of Skip Its jump rope team from second to fifth grade and competed at AAU Nationals in Florida in 2006.
