2018: Indoor: Mann’s indoor campaign was focused on the 800-meter run. She recorded a personal record at the Colorado Invitational in February, clocking in at 2:10.35 for third place.
Outdoor: During her outdoor season, Mann competed in the 400-meter dash and the 800- and 1,500-meter runs. She competed at the Colorado Invitational in April in the 400-meter dash where she earned a personal record of 58.91 and placed tenth. She competed at the Pac-12 Championships in May and recorded her best time of the season (2:09.07) and placed 11th. Of her two 1,500-meter races, she recorded a personal best at the Cardinal Classic in April, clocking in at 4:33.05 and placing seventh.

2017: Indoor: In her first indoor season, Mann competed four times, all in the 800-meter run. She ran a PR time of 2:11.07 at the Colorado Open, where she came in fifth.
Outdoor: During her second outdoor season, Mann again focused on the 800. She clocked a personal best of 2:08.88 at the Cardinal Classic (4/21), which earned her fifth place. At the Pac-12 Championships, Mann just missed the 800 finals after placing 10th (2:09.25). She did move on to the NCAA Preliminary Round where she ended her season with a 28th place finish.

2016: Indoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
Outdoor: Mann ran a few 800s during her first season for the Buffs, getting better with each race. She started the season with a 2:14.27 at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the following week improved to a 2:13.88 at the Stanford Twilight. Mann earned her personal best at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 23rd in the prelims with a time of 2:12.58.

CROSS COUNTRY: (2017) Mann raced again three times for CU. She earned an 18th place finish at the Colorado State Invitational before improving to sixth at the Rocky Mountain Shootout as CU’s fourth harrier. In the final race of her season, she finished 61st at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
(2016) Mann competed in three races for the Buffs as a redshirt freshman, starting off with a 30th place finish at the Colorado State Invitational. Mann followed that up with a ninth place finish at the Rocky Mountain Shootout before placing 60th overall at the Bradley Classic.
(2015) Redshirt. Did not compete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mann helped the Coyotes to three Colorado State 5A Cross Country Championships (2011-13) and one runner-up finish (2014). MHS won the Front Range League Championship all four of those years. In 2013, the team placed fifth at Nike Cross Nationals. Mann was a part of two MHS record. The 4x400 relay recorded a time of 3:55.68 at the 2015 state meet and the 4x800-relay finished in 9:11.89 for a runner-up finish at state in 2014. On the track, the 4x800 relay was the state runner-up four times (2012-15), which included her sister Elissa. She was a Front Range All-Conference cross country second team selection in 2013 and in 2012, she earned academic all-conference and all-state honors. Mann was recruited by Boise State, Northern Arizona and Nebraska-Omaha.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Mann is an ecology and evolutionary biology major and has a GPA greater than 3.30.

PERSONAL: Karina Lynn Mann was born on February 9, 1997 in Louisville, Colo. She is the daughter of Rick and Viki Mann and has two sisters, Jessie and Elissa, her twin, who is also a member of the CU cross country and track and field team. She enjoys snowboarding, listening to music, playing with her dog and anything outdoors.
