- The CU Student Sports Pass gives you access to claim a ticket to home football games and home men's basketball games. Volleyball, soccer and women's basketball tickets are free to all students to attend.
- You will be required to login and claim your ticket to both football and men's basketball. Admission to all other CU Athletics events is FREE with your Student ID.
- Tickets to individual games are not guaranteed based on space limitations and must be claimed in advance.
- There will be no re-entry at Folsom Field or the CU Events Center.
- $10 from every CU Student Sports Pass purchased goes to support Ralphie.
For home football games, tickets are good for general admission seating in Sections 110–117 (half of Section 110 is reserved for the Golden Buffalo Marching Band). For Men's Basketball, student tickets are good for general admission in Sections 13–17. Women's Basketball student general admission is in Sections 15–16. Buff Club Student Memberships
Students who add a $125 Buff Club Student Membership when purchasing their CU Sports Pass receive first access to claim tickets during all home football game claim windows. Donating directly to the Buff Club does not activate your student membership — it must be added at the time of Sports Pass purchase. To purchase, log in to your account, click Football, then select the Buff Club Student Membership item.
The benefits of a Buff Club Student Membership include:
- Buff Club Student Priority Claim Period
- Members receive early access to claim their ticket during all home football game claim windows.
- Buff Club Priority Points
- For each year you purchase a Buff Club Student Membership, you earn double the standard number of priority points.
- Priority points are used to determine access to season tickets, away game tickets, postseason tickets, and other premium opportunities.
- Priority points are lifetime accruals and remain on your CU Athletics account after graduation. Students who stay active with the Buff Club after graduation by making an annual donation or additional gifts will continue to earn priority points.
FAQs
How long does my Buff Club Student Membership last?
Your membership begins when you order your CU Sports Pass and add the $125 donation. It lasts until the CU Sports Pass goes on sale for the next school year.
How is my $125 Buff Club contribution used?
Your contribution directly supports the Crawford Family WHOLE (Wellness Health Optimal Life Experience) Student-Athlete Program, which supports holistic well-being for CU's 350+ student-athletes — helping them build sustainable paths to wellness, career maturity, and optimal athletic performance.
Is the $125 contribution tax-deductible?
No. Per the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, gifts tied to ticket purchases are not tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for details.
Important General Information
Update your phone: Make sure your device is running the latest iOS or Android update. Outdated versions can cause ticket issues.
Students with Apple devices on iOS 16.4.0 or above will link wallet passes to their Apple ID (one-time action). A Colorado Athletics account can only be linked to ONE Apple ID. Once bound, tickets downloaded from your Colorado Athletics account will only be valid on devices belonging to that Apple ID.
Refresh your ticket: If your ticket doesn't show "Hold Near Reader" in your wallet, close the wallet app, reopen it, and reload your ticket.
Verify if prompted: Some phones require Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode before NFC will work.
To use Apple Wallet for your tickets, make sure both Cellular Data and NFC are turned on:
Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) and confirm it's switched on. Also check that Wallet is allowed to use cellular data.
Go to Settings → Wallet & Apple Pay → make sure Allow Access When Locked and NFC are enabled.
- To be eligible for student tickets, you must be enrolled at CU Boulder in a minimum of four credit hours.
- All students must present a valid Buff OneCard for admission and to access student benefits.
- Do not share your login with anyone. If another device is bound to your account, you will be locked out and risk forfeiting your Sports Pass for the year. If your plans change and you cannot attend a game, email cutix@colorado.edu from your student email account at least 24 hours before kickoff to maintain your eligibility for future claims.
- Do not sell your student ticket. Selling a ticket will result in your Sports Pass being revoked.
- It is YOUR responsibility to note claim window dates and times — reminders are not sent every week. Make sure you are receiving CU Athletics emails by adding updates@go.cubuffs.com to your safe senders list.
- The Athletic Department will communicate with students through the email provided during account registration. Verify you are subscribed to emails here.
- Students may not interfere in any way with the play of the contest, venue operations and security, or other patrons.
- Students shall not engage in any activity contrary to the standards of the University of Colorado. Any such behavior will lead to ejection without refund, denial of entrance to future events, and may subject the student to legal action.
- Any students ejected from a game will lose their season tickets for the remainder of the season without refund and will face disciplinary review at the Office of Student Conduct.
ANY ATTEMPT AT FRAUDULENT SALES OR PURCHASES WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF TICKET BENEFITS WITHOUT REFUND. YOUR VALID BUFF ONECARD IS REQUIRED FOR ADMITTANCE TO ATHLETIC EVENTS.
