2007 OUTLOOK: Ian has been slowed by injuries this fall.  He will add depth to the sprints and relays.

2006: Wilson ran in two meets during the indoor season. He placed 14th overall in the 500-meter run at the Joe Davies Open. At the Air Force Open, he recorded a mark of 23.29 in the 200 for 32nd-place and 54.03 in the 400 to finish 30th. He ran in both the 200 and the 400 during the outdoor campaign. Wilson recorded a pr of 22.65 at the Tom Benich Classic in the 200 and placed 15th. His best finish in the 200 was at Potts Invite where he took eighth (23.08). He also pr’d in the 400 at the Jack Christiansen Invite with a mark of 53.61, finishing 32nd.  

HIGH SCHOOL:  A member of Douglas County’s 2005 top-10 ranked boys track and field team, Wilson ran the 200-m and 400-m distances and the third leg of the school’s record setting 400-m relay team that ran a 43.4 at the 2005 5A Colorado State Championship.  His personal record in the 200-m is 21.43 and his pr in the 400-m is 49.3.  An honor roll student-athlete as a senior, Wilson was also recruited by Colorado State and Cal-Poly before signing with the Buffs.

ACADEMICS: Wilson is a open major at Colorado, but he is interested in engineering and architecture.

PERSONAL: Ian Francis Wilson was born on May 5, 1987 in Aurora, Colo. His parents are Kent and Laurel Wilson of Paso Robles, Calif. and Peggy Torres and Shawn Allen of Castle Rock, Colo. Wilson’s younger sister Tessa is a junior on the Douglas County track team.
