BOULDER- The No. 19/15 Colorado women's golf team heads to San Luis Obispo to start the week at the Bruin Wave Invitational at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.

COURSE: San Luis Obispo Country Club — San Luis Obispo, California
PAR/YARDAGE: Par 72, Yardage 6,323 
SCHEDULE: Sunday (February 25): practice rounds, 12:30 p.m., shotgun start Monday (February 26): 36 holes, 8 a.m., shotgun start
Tuesday (February 27): 18 holes, 7:50 a.m., tee times off 1 and 10

Last Time Out 

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico– The University of Colorado women's golf team finished its first tournament of the spring season here Tuesday in fifth place at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, hosted by Purdue.

The Buffaloes, ranked No. 19 in the latest GolfStat poll, combined to shoot 298 or 14-over par in the final round of the 54-hole event, the second lowest round score in the field. They posted a 55-over par, 907 overall team score for the tournament. Fourth ranked Arkansas won the event staying atop the leaderboard all three days and carded a 30-over par 882.

Sophomore Robyn Choi posted the best three-day total for the Buffs, shooting a 2-over par on Tuesday to finish with a 75-72-73—220 scorecard. Choi climbed two spots on the leaderboard to tie for third. This is Choi's fourth top five finish during the 2017-18 season. Choi was second in most pars with 39. Choi's third round consisted of 16 pars against two bogeys to finish at 2-over par 73.
 

Choi and Hodgkins Finish Top-20 at Amateur Asia Pacific - BLOG POST 

Two Buffs finished in the top 20 of the inaugural Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific championship here Saturday (Feb. 24) in Singapore. 

Sophomores Robyn Choi and Kirsty Hodgkins finished in the top-20 out of 83 total athletes. Choi finished tied for 11th, while Hodgkins tied for 20th place.

Choi finished with a final scorecard of 72-75-69-70–286. And Hodgkins carded a  71-75-70-73— 289 total. Hodgkins is No. 40 in the Women's World Amateur Golf Rankings, while Choi is No. 89.

"Robyn had a very good finish of 11th place. Kirsty also did well in 20th," head coach Anne Kelly said. "They both fly From Singapore to LAX today and will meet us in San Luis Obispo later in the afternoon. It will be a week of marathon golf for them as they played 36 holes in the UCLA Pepperdine Bruin wave tournament along with the rest of the team on Monday." 

The stakes were high in the new event, as the winner earned invitations to two women's majors — the ANA Inspiration and the Women's British Open, plus next week's HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore. 

Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand who was one of four players to finish the four-round event at 8-under-par 276. Thikul won a playoff to earn medalist honors and invitations to the prestigious events.
