Kaleta had her career best finish in a RMISA Qualifier race, a classic sprint race, taking second place for her fourth career podium appearance. She also finished 10th in the women’s freestyle sprint race three days earlier despite losing her pole in her quarterfinal heat, which likely cost her a trip to the semifinals and potential podium appearance.
Kaleta also led the CU women in the 20K freestyle mass start race, which was 21st overall in the US Championship field, and would have been seventh if it were an RMISA college race.
