
Stinson And Arias Named Athletes Of The Week, Presented By Arrow

BOULDER – Lacrosse attacker Miranda Stinson and football wide receiver Daniel Arias were named the CU Athletes of the Week, presented by Arrow, for the period of April 22 – 28.
Stinson, a senior from Manakin Sabot, Va., led the Buffs to the Pac-12 Tournament title game with a 16-9 victory against Stanford. In that contest, she recorded four goals and two assists for six points. She was 1-2 on free-position attempts and added three draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover. In the championship game against USC, she scored two of CU's three goals. Stinson was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament team for her performance.
Arias, a sophomore from Mill Creek, Wash., had one of the most outstanding performances for the Gold Team in the Buff's Spring Game on Saturday, in which the Gold Team beat the Black Team 55-27. He had seven receptions for 138 yards averaging out at nearly 20 yards per catch. Two of those catches went for touchdowns. Arias also had 6 first downs earned and one first down rush for 10 yards.

Gabby Scott, Track and Field – The senior sprinter broke her third individual school record with her season debut in the 400-meter dash at the Jack Christiansen Invite. She ran 52.34 to break the record of 53.23 by nearly a second.
Jon Maas, Track and Field – The sophomore sprinter won the 400-meter dash at the Jack Christiansen Invite with a time of 47.16.
