Lindsay Propels Denver Comeback, Oliver Records First Career Sack, and Hambright Makes Debut
November 02, 2020 | Football, Alumni C Club
BOULDER--Phillip Lindsay (Denver) escaped for a 55-yard touchdown, jump-starting the Denver offense in a huge comeback, Isaiah Oliver (Atlanta) got his first NFL sack and Arlington Hambright (Chicago) made his NFL debut to highlight Week 8 of #NFLBuffs.
Lindsay Flashes Back To College Days On Touchdown Run
Lindsay totaled 83 rushing yards on Sunday in a last second, 31-30, win against the Los Angeles Charges. Lindsay got his yards on only six carries for an average of 13.8-yards a touch. The Aurora, Colo. native also caught one pass out of the backfield for three yards.Â
Â
The bulk of his 83-yards came on a 55-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as the Broncos trailed 24-3. The run helped propel a 21-point comeback for the 3-5 Broncos.Â
Lindsay's 55-yard touchdown scamper let Buff fans reminisce on the running back's time in Boulder which included many explosive plays similar to Sunday's. In similar fashion, Lindsay took a touchdown 75-yards to the house in 2016 to help lead the No. 17 Buffs to a 40-16 win against Arizona State. There goes Phillip Lindsay. 55 yards for the touchdown! #BroncosCountry @I_CU_Boy

Oliver Records First Sack of His Career
Oliver started the seventh game of his season which included 46 plays on defense and five on special teams in a 25-17 win over Carolina on Thursday Night Football. Oliver recorded three tackles in the ballgame, one of which was his first career sack for a loss of 12 yards. That sack is his first since high school as the cornerback didn't record one as a Buff.Â

Â
David Bakhtiari (Green Bay) missed his second game in a row (chest) as the Packers fell 28-22 to Minnesota.Â
Tony Brown (Washington) was not in action in Week 8 with a scheduled bye.

Â
Mason Crosby didn't practice (calf/back) on Wednesday or Thursday for the Packers but was ready to go on Sunday to extend his streak of consecutive games played to 215. The Packers all-time leading scorer had a quiet day kicking in windy conditions. Neither team attempted a field goal in the contest but Crosby did connect on both of his extra points in the loss.
