Wright And Rudy Named CU Athletes Of The Week, Presented by Arrow

BOULDER -Â Lacrosse's Charlie Rudy and men's basketball's McKinely Wright IVÂ were named CU Athletes of the Week, presented by Arrow, for March 2-8 .
Wright, a junior from North Robbinsdale, Minn., capped off the regular season with 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists.at Utah. It was his fifth 20-point game of the season and sixth consecutive game with 10 or more points. Wright finished the regular season averaging 14.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.Â
Rudy, a sophomore from Novato, Calif., led CU in a pair of wins last weekend, putting up 16 points in two games. The Buffs recorded 40 goals in the two games with Rudy accounting for 30 percent CU's scoring with 12 goals. She tallied seven points against Oregon in the conference opener, which included four goals and a career-best three assists. Her game against Coastal Carolina was even more impressive as she tied CU's single-game goals record with a career-high eight goals. Rudy added one assist in the game, recording a career-best nine points. Her nine points tied for third in CU single-game history. All nine of her shots on Sunday were on goal and for the weekend, 14 of her 15 shots were on goal.

Tied a career-high with 18 points in CU's first-round loss to USC at the Pac-12 Tournament. She went 7-of-13 from the field and added tied for the team lead in rebounds with seven.
