May 10, 2023 | Lacrosse
BOULDER - Fifth-year attacker Charlie Rudy added another accolade to her resume yesterday as USA Lacrosse Magazine Announced their Division I Women's All-Americans, and Rudy received her first Honorable Mention from the league.
Rudy was a key player in getting the Buffs to the Pac-12 championship this year. She led the Pac-12 in both goals and points, earning 66 and 83 respectively. There was only one game all season where the attacker didn't earn a single point. She also earned 17 assists throughout the season, putting her at third on the team.
This was Rudy's highest scoring season with the Buffs. With her 66 goals, the Novato, Calif. native was able to move into second in goals in Colorado's program history with 194 career goals. Rudy has also earned 234 points over the five year period.Â
Rudy closed out the season for holding the record for most goals scored in a single game this year with seven, and she finished 11th in the NCAA for goals per game at 3.47. She went on an 11 game streak where she scored at least three goals.Â
The attacker was drafted in Athlete Unlimited's college draft last night. If she chooses to play, she'll be the second player from CU to play in the league since it began in 2021.
