Former Buff Jeremy Paul Earns PGA Tour Card
October 06, 2024 | Men's Golf
BOULDER — University of Colorado golf team alumnus Jeremy Paul officially earned his PGA Tour card Sunday after the final point standings for the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour were issued.
Paul, 30, finished 21st on the list with exactly 1,000 points; the top 30 earned their cards for the 2025 season. He made the cut 18 times in 25 tournaments on the Korn Ferry Tour this year, with one win, three top 10 and eight top 25 finishes. He was 19th on the money list with $334,604.
He turned professional in April 2017.
"In terms of golf, obviously a long journey but super rewarding to achieve this lifelong goal, Paul said Sunday night after he celebrated the news. "Golf is obviously super competitive, and the margins are so slim and you just continuously have to work and improve little things and still never know when your time is coming.
"But I worked a lot on the mental aspect the last two years and that helped a ton to translate the improvements onto the course," he added. "There is always doubts on this journey and that's normal but key is to put everything into perspective and have an overall positive mindset."
"What an exciting day for Jeremy Paul," CU head coach Roy Edwards said. "He has had a really nice professional career and had a tremendous year on the Korn Ferry Tour this season. We congratulate him on earning his PGA Tour card."
Edwards recruited Paul and his twin brother Yannik to CU in his 2013 recruiting class. The twins set numerous school records, with Jeremy compiling just a few more than Yannik.
Paul is the ninth Buffalo to earn a full-time PGA Tour card, joining Tim Brauch, Rick Cramer, Dale Douglass (3 Tour & 11 Senior Tour victories), Hale Irwin (20 Tour & 45 Champions Tour victories), Steve Jones (8 Tour victories), Jonathan Kaye (2 Tour victories), Larry Webb and Tom Woodard.
He earned PING All-Region and honorable mention honors as a junior at CU for the 2015-16 season, and still holds or shares 27 school records. He and Jones are the only players to lead the Buffaloes in stroke average all four years in Boulder.
