Biwer was the only player in the 72-man field to close with scores in the 60s (which were at a premium the last two rounds with just seven in each); he won the last two rounds with a 6-under 136, three better than anyone else ... The fifth place effort was the best by a CU freshman in the Pac-12’s since CU joined the conference in 2011-12, and the third best overall behind a pair of runner-up finishes by Ross Macdonald and Jeremy Paul in 2018 ... It also was the third-best finish by a CU freshman in any conference tournament, behind a runner-up effort by Rick Cramer in the 1979 Big Eight Championships; Cramer had bested a third place showing by Steve Jones in ’78.
