SENIOR (2019): Playing in her final season, Aschman once again started in all 19 games. She recorded 24 ground balls and had a season-high 19 caused turnovers. In Pac-12 games, she ranked fourth with 13 caused turnovers (1.30 per game). As she had in the past, she was also tasked with marking up some of the top attackers on the opposing team. Aschman was a part of CU’s defense that allowed 10.26 goals per game, which was 23rd in the NCAA. That mark was second in the Pac-12 Conference. The Buffs also cleared at an 86.8 percentage (315-363), thanks in part to Aschman’s speed. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team as the Buffs were the runner-up. She was recognized for her season by earning Pac-12 All-First Team and IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region Second Team honors. Always a good student, she was an IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and Pac-12 Academic First Team member.

JUNIOR (2018): Aschman continued to be a force in CU’s defense, starting all 20 contests. She recorded 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers, but her efforts were more than just stats as she often mark-up some of the opponents’ top attackers. The Buffs’ defense ranked 17th in the NCAA, allowing just 9.90 goals per game. In CU’s 10-7 victory against No. 16 Southern California on April 6, Aschman tied a career-best three caused turnovers. She also collected a career-high five ground balls against Stanford (April 29). Aschman was one of seven Buffs to start in every game and was named to the Pac-12 Academic First Team in addition to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.

SOPHOMORE (2017): Aschman started in all 20 games, as she became a reliable part of Colorado’s notable defensive unit. She had 10 groundballs, two draw controls and five caused turnovers during the season. Ashman had three groundballs and caused one turnover in the victory against No. 14 Denver on March 3. Her defensive efforts were key in the 9-7 road win over Delaware on March 29 where she had a career-high three caused turnovers and one groundball, allowing the Buffs to reach a record-breaking 11-game win streak. The sophomore gained confidence in her defensive stops in addition to clearing the ball in transition. She recorded one draw control in both wins against Oregon and California. Also an excellent student, Ashman was named to the MPSF All-Academic Team.

FRESHMAN (2016): Aschman started all 18 games as a true freshman on defense for the Buffaloes. She recorded 12 caused turnovers, 11 ground balls and three draw controls. In her first career game, she caused three turnovers and had one ground ball in an 11-10 win at Denver on Feb. 12. Aschman had two caused turnovers each against Marquette on Feb. 28 and No. 9/8 Stanford in the semifinals of the MPSF Tournament on April 29. Her season-high of two ground balls came in an 18-4 win at Fresno State on Feb. 21.

HIGH SCHOOL: Aschman was first-team all-conference for four years and first-team all-state for three years in high school and earned team MVP for lacrosse her sophomore and senior seasons, earning a total of five letters. She played on the NCISAA State Champions team in 2012 and the TISAC Conference Champions team from 2011-15. The accomplishment she is most proud of is winning the state championship and scoring four goals in the title game. In her career, Aschman tallied 372 points, 109 assists, 263 goals and 218 ground balls. In addition to lacrosse, she played volleyball and ran cross country. In 2014, she was a part of the TISAC Conference Champions team for cross country and was fifth in the state meet and third in the conference meet. Aschman earned three letters in volleyball as a setter and had greater than a 95 percent serve accuracy.
