2015 MPSF All-Academic Team
REDSHIRT SENIOR (2018): Link was able to come back from injury and play in eight games in her final season of eligibility. She scored her only goal of the season on senior day, which was a 19-9 victory over Oregon (4/20) that solidified the Buffs as the inaugural Pac-12 regular season champions.
SENIOR (2017): Link suffered a season-ending injury prior to the start of the season.
JUNIOR (2016): Link played in eight games as a reserve attacker. She had seven goals, one assist, eight points, 11 shot attempts, eight shots on goal, one ground ball and one draw control. Her first assist of the season came in a 15-3 win over Central Connecticut on March 5. She scored her first goal of the year on April 1 in a 14-3 win at UC Davis and also picked up a ground ball. In a 23-0 win over Saint Mary’s, Link tied the school record with five goals and also had a draw control. She also scored a goal in the MPSF Tournament quarterfinals in an 11-3 win over Oregon.
SOPHOMORE (2015): Link came onto the field for ten games, including both of CU's MPSF Tournament games. She scored seven goals and had 15 shot attempts, including 12 on goal. The midfielder had five ground balls and five draw controls. Overall, Link had another solid season and was named MPSF All-Academic Team. She scored her first two goals of the season on March 2 in a win over Presbyterian. She scored goals in four consecutive games late in the season in wins over Saint Mary's (Calif.) (April 17), Fresno State, Oregon State, and capped it off with a pair of scores in a win over San Diego State in the first round of the MPSF Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2014): Coming off the bench for 16 games, including both of CU’s MPSF Tournament games, Link had a solid freshman season. She recorded seven points off six goals and one assist, taking 18 shots and sending 13 on goal. Link was also an impressive 2-for-3 in free-position shots. Link scored her first goal in just her second game, helping CU to a 13-10 victory over Regis. She recorded two points in two different games, netting two goals against Fresno State and scoring a goal, contributing an assist and scooping up a ground ball against St. Mary’s.
HIGH SCHOOL: Link helped Cherry Creek to four straight Colorado state championships, including titles in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Her freshman season, the Bruins had a perfect 19-0 season. Link earned first-team all-league honors in back-to-back seasons as a junior and senior and was an honorable mention as a sophomore. Link was also named honorable mention all-state and Academic All-State as a senior. Link ended her prep career by graduating with honors, earning both academic honors and receiving the Athletic Honor Award. Link also played for the Team 180 lacrosse club.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Link is a marketing major.
PERSONAL: Victoria Marie Link was born on November 27, 1994, to Robert and Sharon Link. Her father works in commercial real estate and played football at Nebraska. Her mother is a lawyer. She has two brothers that also play collegiate sports. Tyler played baseball at Pittsburg State, and Ryan played lacrosse at Penn State. She loves eating sushi and listening to country music. She is a Denver Broncos fan who has gotten to meet John Elway. She chose CU because she felt the Buffalo family was a perfect fit. She said she loves everything about CU.
