At Corban University (2014-15, Fr.)—He earned NAIA third-team All-American honors, the first player from Corban (Salem, Ore.) to earn any level of All-America mention.  He was ranked as the No. 100 golfer in the NAIA ranks by GolfStat, which had Corban 29th in its final team rankings.  He set a school record for single-season stroke average with a 72.44 mark, bettering the previous mark by two strokes.  He won four individual tournaments, another school record, as he scored par or better in 15 of 27 rounds overall (12 subpar).  He shot 73-72-82—227 at the NAIA Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla., missing the cut for the final round but tying for 94th individually.  His head coach at Corban was Paul Pickerell.  He also lettered one year in basketball (shooting guard); in 26 games, he averaged 5.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, along with shooting 42.9 percent from three-point range (30-of-70).

High School—He lettered in four sports (13 total letters) and was the state’s 3A champion golfer as a freshman and senior, in addition to leading Buhl to the state title his junior and senior years (he earned Idaho’s Golfer of the Year honors on both occasions from the Twin Falls Times-News).  He was also the state’s 3A player of the year in basketball as a senior, leading BHS to the state crown in averaging 21 points and seven rebounds a game (he made a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left in the title game to put Buhl ahead for good versus Homeland).  He was a two-time first-team All-Conference performer in basketball (second-team as a sophomore).  He also earned three letters in football (quarterback) and baseball (pitcher).
