College--2011-12 (Sr.): A December graduate, he opted to forego his last semester of eligibility and turn professional.? He returned home shortly before Christmas to the UAE where he was charting his plan to qualify for the Asian Tour while also playing in area events.? He closed out his collegiate career with a 72.08 stroke average for CU’s four fall tournaments (second-best on the team but the eighth best in school history for a fall season) and three top 25 finishes.? His best finish was a tie for eighth in the Air Force Miranda Invitational (68-73-71?212, -4), the best 54-hole tournament of his career in stroke count in relation to par (and second best overall).? He tied for 14th in CU’s Mark Simpson Invitational (72-74-68?214, -2), which included his best final round score of his collegiate career; he also split his matches in the Colorado Cup against Colorado State.? His 70.75 first round stroke average was a team best, with his 72.25 final round norm the second lowest.? He was 14th in the nation in par-3 scoring (2.98 average for 36 holes).

2010-11 (Jr.): He led the team in stroke average at 74.31, which was bolstered by a team-best 73.96 in the spring, as he played in 36 rounds and in 12 of CU’s 13 tournaments.? He also led the team in top 20 finishes (four) and rounds in the 60s (four), and was second across the board in first round average (73.58), middle round average (74.50) and final round average (74.83).? His top finish came in the Front Range Individual, held at Eisenhower Blue in Colorado Springs and Colorado National GC, with his 73-72?145 (+1) effort placing him third.? His best finishes in major tournaments followed, as he tied for sixth at the Bandon Dunes Championship (219, +3) and then tied for 12th at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, his best event of the year in stroke average in relation to par (210, E).? On two occasions, he recorded the seventh largest improvement ? 14 strokes ? from one round to the next in school history: in the fall at the UNM Tucker, he opened with an 85 and came back with a second round 71; in the Big 12 Championships to end the year, he had a second round 87 but bounced back with a third round 73.? For the year, he ranked 84th in the nation in Ham/Egg with an 11/2 ratio; he was 64th nationally in greens hit in regulation with a 67.8 percentage, 70th in hitting to within 15 feet (31.3).? In the fall, he ranked 34th in GIR (72.7; 26th in GIR on par-3 holes at 72.9).? His final Golfweek national individual ranking was No. 465, best on the team.

2009-10 (Soph.): For the first time, he became a regular on CU’s travel squad, playing in all 13 tournaments and posting the second best stroke averages on the team for the season (73.87), fall (73.43) and spring (74.12), as well as posting the second most rounds of par or better (12; eight even, four subpar); 33 of his 39 rounds counted toward CU’s team score.? He owned the best middle rounds average on the team at 73.36 (14 rounds), with the second best final round number (74.58, 12 rounds).? He was CU’s top performer in five tournaments, led by a tie for fourth overall in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale (211, +1); he was also the best Buff in the Big 12 Championships at Whispering Pines GC in Trinity, Texas, where his 73-73-73-74?219 (+5) scorecard tied him for 19th.? In the fall, his top finishes included the weather-shortened Alister Mackenzie, where he was tearing it up with a 70-66?136 (-8) scorecard, tying him for sixth in the standings; the second round 66 was his collegiate career best in competition.? He also tied for 24th in the season tournament opener, putting a 220 (+4) into the books in the New Mexico Tucker Invitational.? He was 2-0 in the Colorado Cup against Colorado State, winning his Four-Ball match with Derek Fribbs and then his singles match over Ryan Peterson.? In the fall, he was 22nd in the nation in par-3 greens in regulation (68.6) and 69th in the nation in “Ham & Egg” and 147th in the nation in birdies (110, second most on the team).

2008-09 (Fr.-RS): He played in three tournaments on the season, all as an individual where his score did not count toward CU’s team score (two occasions; for the third, CU did not enter a full team).? His 74.00 stroke average was technically third on the team, but he played just eight total rounds.? In the spring, he tied for 57th in CU’s Stevinson Ranch Invitational (231, +15), and placed third in CU-Colorado Springs’ spring meet (147, +3).? He saw action in one fall tournament, tying for 14th in Denver’s Ron Moore Invitational with a 67-73-74?214 (-2) scorecard.? He recorded his opening 67 despite suffering a triple bogey, but it was still the best first collegiate round in CU history with the 5-under score, besting a 69 (1-under) by Kane Webber in the 1999 Colorado State Invitational.? He was also flirting with the best round by a Buff in his first major college tournament, a 65 by Jonathan Kaye in the third round 1990 Wyoming Invitational.? Thanks largely to 13 birdies, he became the eighth player in school history to finish in the top 25 in his first collegiate meet.

2007-08 (Fr.): Redshirted; did not see any tournament competition, but participated in all qualifying rounds and practices.

High School? He attended high school in the United States for his junior and senior years at the Bradenton Preparatory Academy, and was coached by Randy Hedgecock along with instructors Scott Bettger and Shane Reiser.? He was the No. 90 ranked junior in the Golfweek/Titleist rankings for the class of 2007.? Bradenton won the Florida State 1A High School championship his senior year (October 2006), as he finished fourth individually with a 75-70?145 effort; BPS also won the district and regional title that same year; he had a hole-in-one in the district competition.

Other--2011: He got off to a great start in his summer play by winning an EPD (European Professional Development) Tour event, the Schloss Moyland Golf Resort Classic in Bedburg-Hau, Germany.? One of just three players under par after recording a 72-71-68?211 (-2) scorecard, he won on the second playoff hole, defeating a mostly pro field.? In doing so, he joined Martin Kaymer as the only amateur to ever win on the EPD Tour.? That came after he finished tied for 25th but was the low amateur in the Haugschlag NO Open in Austria, where he put a 70-72-71?213 (-3) effort into the books.? He was 19th in the German International Amateur Championship (296, +8). He tied for 39th in the EPD Coburg Brose Open, with a 67-75-74?216 (E), finishing as the second low amateur.? Participated in The Amateur Championship at Hillside & Hesketh Golf clubs in England (74-82?156; did not advance to match play).? Overall, he made the cut five times in seven tries in EPD events.? 2010: He tied for 29th in the Colorado Golf Association Stroke Play Championships with a 73-71-75-73?292 score (+12) at Boulder Country Club.? He tied for 42nd overall in the Colorado Open, firing four straight par 71’s for a 284 total; he was the fourth low amateur in the field.? He played in three European Professional Development (EPD) Tour Events, with his best effort a seventh-place tie in the Fuerst Fugger Privatbank Classic (67-70-68?205); he also tied for 49th in the Flessensee Classic (71-76-75?222) and missed the cut in the Coburg Brose Open (70-77?147).? 2009: He tied for second in the Dubai Desert Classic Qualifier (71-79?150); he closed his first round with back-to-back birdies to take over the lead before he missed qualifying by just two strokes.? He tied for 33rd in the Colorado Golf Association’s Stroke Play Championships at Lakewood CC (73-70-75-78?296, +12).? 2008: In the Emirates Golf Club men’s championship, he shot a 72-72?144 (-1) to win it for the third time in four tries, successfully defending his title while home from CU on semester break. ?He finished fourth in the Dubai Desert Classic Qualifier (75-73?148).? He tied for second in the Emirates Summer Open (75-70?145); he was actually in a three-way tie for first and was eliminated on the second playoff hole. ?2007: Won the Franz Beckenbauer Invitational for the second time (to go with a 2005 title).? He was the runner-up in the amateur division of the Dubai Desert Classic Qualifier (71, -1; missed by one shot). ?He was the second ranked player in UAE Junior Golf and won the Emirates Golf Club men’s championship for the second time.? Other Years: A regular participant on the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT), posting three top 10 and seven top 20 finishes, highlighted by a tie for sixth in the 2006 Saddlebrook Junior Classic (70-77?147, seven out of the lead, two out of second) and a tie for seventh in same event in 2007 (72-74?146).? He also played in several International Junior Golf Tour (IJCT) events, with his top finish a fourth place effort in the 2005 Orange Lake Fall (73-74?147).?
