Career at Colorado—She competed in all 48 races through the RMISA Championships of her career, finishing 42 of them.
 
2017 (Senior)—She was named to the 2017 USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team for maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA and participating in regionals at Beaver Creek. She competed in all 12 races through the RMISA Championships, finishing 11 on the season. In the Alaska Anchorage Invitational, the final meet of the regular season, she recorded her best finish on the year when she came in 16th place in the slalom. She had four additional top 20 finishes on the season and in all four out of her five top 20 finishes were in slalom races. At her final RMISA Championships, she placed 18th in the slalom and 23rd in the giant slalom. Prior to the start of the collegiate season, she placed fifth in a FIS race at Eldora Mountain Resort in the giant slalom.

2016 (Junior) – She competed in all 12 races leading up to the NCAA Championships and finished 11 of those races with a pair of top 20 performances, one in each discipline.  She had her career best finish of 14th at the RMISA Championships at Beaver Creek in the slalom race.  Her best GS finish was in Bozeman in an RMISA Alpine Qualifier race ahead of the Montana State Invitational where she finished 20th.

2015 (Sophomore)—Hostetler had some impressive results during the Buffs preseason racing schedule.  She had a pair of top 20 finishes at CU’s Jimmie Heuga Classic at Echo Mountain in late November and then continued with top 20 performances throughout December, including a 10th place finish in a slalom at Steamboat Springs and a fourth place finish in a National Junior Race, also in Steamboat.

2014 (Freshman)—Hostetler used her first season in Boulder to get acclimated to the college racing circuit.  She was consistent all season, finishing between 20th and 27th in all nine races she finished out of 12.  Her best finishes was a 20th in the GS race at Montana State and a 23rd in the first of two slalom races at New Mexico. 

Club—Hostetler skied for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club for 10 years and earned Colorado All-Star status in 2012 when she was the Rocky Mountain Division Super G champion.  Entering Colorado, she has 183 FIS races to her credit and has finished 147 of them with 57 Top 20, 26 Top 10 and 16 Top 5 finishes under her belt.  She has 11 podium appearances with two race victories, taking a pair of Super G races in Mission Ridge, Wash., in March 2013.  She has skied in 18 Nor-Am Cup races, her best finish being 22nd in a Super G race at Squaw Valley in March 2013.  She has skied in six races at the U.S. National Championships and has skied in several RMISA races as an independent skier the past three years. 

High School—Hostetler graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colo., in 2012.  She earned first-team All-State honors as both a sophomore and junior and was also Academic All-State as a junior and senior at SSHS.  She was also a defender on the soccer team, earning three letters. 

In the Classroom—Hostetler is majoring in Business at Colorado and is also interested in studying a foreign language.   

Personal—Katherine Hostetler was born August 30, 1994, in Laramie, Wyo., and her parents are Jeff and Lissa Hostetler.  Her father skied at Wyoming and is the CIO of Trihydro Corporation and her mom is the owner of the Sweet Pickle’s Children’s Store. She enjoys anything outdoors with her friends, river trips, backpacking and playing games and enjoys watching animal videos on YouTube.
