Lynn Burger is in her fifth year with the CU athletic department after taking a brief absence. She’s in here second year as the golf and tennis administrative assistant. Prior to her newest position, Burger worked as the Special Events Coordinator from 1997?2000 and as an athletic media relations intern in 1989.
Burger, 42, came to CU originally from the American Heart Association, where she was the Regional Director in charge of fundraising and special events for the Colorado and Wyoming area. She also directed special events for the Leukemia Society of America, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and worked for the Bolder Boulder.
Burger graduated from the University of Colorado in 1990, earning her degree in journalism. She earned Outstanding Graduate and Kappa Tau Alpha academic honors and was on the Dean’s List.
Born May 22, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas, she graduated from Arvada West High School in Arvada, Colorado, where she lettered in track and field. Formerly Lynn Smith, she is married to Rick Burger.
