Career at Colorado—Roberts closed out a successful career at Colorado with the final two races of his career coming on his home turf as the Buffs hosted both the RMISA Championships and NCAA Championships to close out the 2010 season.  He was the model of consistency throughout his career, qualifying and participating in the NCAA Championships all four years helping the Buffs to a third place and three second place finishes as a team.  In 52 career races, he had 33 top 20 performances with at least five each season and the number increasing each season.  He had five top 20s as a freshman, eight as a sophomore, nine as a junior and 11 as a senior.  He also had 16 top 10 performances, four in each of his four seasons, and five top 5 finishes with three podium appearances and won race victory, his first career slalom race (2007 Montana State Invitational).  He performed better in the slalom races with 22 of his 33 top 20 and 15 of his 16 top 10 performances in the slalom discipline, but in a bit of irony his sole top 10 finish in the giant slalom came at the 2009 NCAA Championships, earning him his only All-America award.

2010 (Sr.)—Roberts finished off his best season in Boulder as a senior in 2010, finishing the year with 11 top 20 performances in 14 races.  He had four top 10 performances, all in the slalom races.  In seven slalom races on the season, he finished no lower than 18th.  He took second in the RMISA Slalom Qualifier a day after his second best slalom performance, a sixth place finish with both coming at the Nevada Invitational.  He earned second team All-RMISA honors, qualifying in the top 10 among Western schools for the NCAA Championships.

2009 (Jr.)—Roberts claimed seven top 15 finishes in his junior season, including five in the slalom discipline alone.  His top finish of the year came in the first Western Qualifier in Eldora when he took sixth in the slalom.  A strong NCAA veteran, Roberts finished the season with a 10th and 14th place finish individually at the NCAA Championships in the giant slalom and slalom, respectively.  Roberts’ 10th place in the giant slalom not only earned him second-team All-America honors, but also proved to be a personal best for him in that event.

2008 (Soph.)—Roberts proved to be CU’s most dominant and consistent skier throughout the season and continued to have his best showings in the slalom discipline.  Leading the Buffs in seven of 12 races, Roberts recorded four top 10 slalom finishes and placed in the top 20 three times in the giant slalom.  Skiing strong through the first four meets, Roberts hit a rough patch towards the end of the season, but still managed to be just one of two Buffs to qualify for the NCAA Championships, where he started the slalom race in 28th, but was able to improve eight spots to finish in 20th and wrap up his sophomore campaign.   At the conclusion of the season, Roberts earned a spot on the prestigious NCAA Skiing All-Academic Team by owning a 3.5 or better grade point average and participating at the RMISA Championships.

2007 (Fr.)—Roberts kicked off his first collegiate meet by taking first place in the men’s slalom at the Montana State Invitational with a time of 1:26.77 and placed in the top 10 on four occasions in slalom races, including two top five finishes.  Roberts qualified for the NCAA Championships and took 32nd in the giant slalom and 15th in the slalom.  He earned second-team All-RMISA honors and was named RMISA Skier of the Week after his performance at the Denver Invitational.

Other—Roberts, along with teammate Stephan Hughes, participated in the 2007 World University Games in Italy under head coach Richard Rokos in January.

High School—Roberts skied for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club from 1990-2003, with his top accomplishment a win in the Sunday River Nor-Am Slalom.  He then moved on to the U.S. Ski Team from 2004-06.  In 2005 he was fifth at the World Junior Championships in Italy, and then in 2006 took sixth in the U.S. National Championships in the slalom.  He also lettered in soccer at Steamboat Springs High School. In 2005 he was also named the Colorado Alpine Ski Racer of the Year.

In the Classroom—Roberts graduated with a degree in environmental studies.

Personal—Drew Jamison Roberts was born April 12, 1985 in Steamboat Springs, Colo.  His parents are Michael and Marne of Steamboat Springs, and he is one of three children.  He has an older brother Ryan and a younger sister, Christine, who skied for Dartmouth.
