Kimberly Detwiler is in her first year as an assistant athletic trainer for the cross country and track and field team at Colorado. She joins the staff at CU after spending the last seven years at Texas where she worked with the softball team. Detwiler earned her Associate’s in Sports Medicine degree from Modesto Junior College in 2002, her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training form San Diego State in 2005, and received her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from The University of Oregon in 2007. She has served the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) in various capacities, including participation in work groups and service as member and chair for various committees. Currently she is serving as an Athletic Trainer Director for athletic training’s Board of Certification. In her free time, Detwiler enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, running, hiking, camping, playing her guitar, writing and reading.
