2006 OUTLOOK: Julia did not compete last season, but looks to make strides in the long jump this season.
2005: Redshirt. Did not compete.
2004: Outdoors, DeMarines placed 16th in 100-meter dash at the Tom Benich Classic (14.39). She also ran the 200, placing 19th (29.16). 
2003: DeMarines got her collegiate career started by participating in the 4x400 relay during the indoor track season. Her team captured a fifth place finish at the Air Force Classic with a mark of 4:27.46. During the outdoor campaign DeMarines participated in a flurry of events, including the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes. She was the only team participant in the 100-m at two events, taking a 26th place finish (14.08) at the Jack Christensen Invite and a 15th place showing (14.11) at the Tom Benich Classic. In the 200-m, she posted four of the top five scores on the team, including a sixth place finish at the Jim Click Invite with a season-high mark of 28.77. At the same event, DeMarines placed third (68.09) in the 400-m dash.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport athlete in high school, DeMarines came to Colorado ready to concentrate on track ? a sport she lettered in four times during her career at Walt Whitman. She was a three-time state qualifier and set her personal record in the 4x400-meter relay (62.5) during the state meet. 
ACADEMICS: An astronomy and math major, she was named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll following the spring ’04 semester. Her goal after college is to work for NASA in their research department. 
PERSONAL: Julia Mied DeMarines was born on May 20, 1984 in Washington, D.C., to parents Ronald and Jane DeMarines.
