2011: Indoor: Dodson recorded personal records in the 60 and the 200-meter dashes. He placed fourth at the Potts Invite with a time of 6.80 and was seventh in the prelims at the Big 12 Championships in the 200 with a time of 21.62. Dodson scored for CU at the Big 12 meet, placing eighth overall in 21.86.
Outdoor: Dodson ran once for the Buffs in the 100 at the Potts Invite (3/19). He placed third overall with a time of 21.91.
2010: Indoor: Dodson tied his personal record in the 60-meter dash when he ran a time of 6.92 at the Air Force All-Comers Meet. At the same meet, he also recorded a time of 22.03 in the 200. Dodson ran the 60 two other times, both at the Potts Indoor Invite (1/23). He ran 6.94 in the prelims and 6.97 in the finals for fifth place.
Outdoor: Dodson competed in both the 100 and 200, as well as the relays during the outdoor campaign. He clocked a season-best, although wind-aided mark, of 10.52 in the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/24) to finish third. At the Fum McGraw Open (5/8), he ran a non-wind-aided time of 10.61. In the 200, Dodson ran a PR of 21.29 at the FMO and took second overall. At the Big 12 Championship, he ran a time of 21.45 in the prelims, placing 12th. Dodson was also a key part of the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams. At the NCAA Preliminaries in Austin, the relay ran the eighth fastest time in CU history at 39.91. It was the fastest time run by a CU relay since 2008. The relay placed 12th overall and automatically qualified for semifinals at nationals. At NCAAs, the team ran 40.35 but did not advance to the finals. The relay also ran the 14th best time in history at the Fum McGraw Open (40.19). Dodson earned his first letter when the relay placed fifth with a mark of 40.46.
2009: Indoor: Dodson mostly ran the 60 and 200-meter dashes during the indoor season of his freshman campaign. He notched a personal record of 6.92 in the 60 at the Air Force Invite (2/13) and placed fourth. The time also placed him 10th on the CU all-time performers list. Dodson's best run in the 200 came at the New Mexico Classic (2/7). He clocked a time of 21.84 and placed sixth overall. Dodson also participated in the long jump at a pair of meets for the Buffs. His best performance came at the Air Force Duals when he took third with a leap of 22-00.25.
Outdoor: During the outdoor season, Dodson was the top performer for the Buffs in the 100, clocking a time of 10.73 at the CU Invite (4/11) to place third. He ranked second on the team in the 200 with a mark of 21.51 (at the same meet). Dodson placed fifth in that event.
HIGH SCHOOL: Dodson was an NCIS All-American as a junior at George Washington and the Patriots won the state championship the same year. Dodson is a part of two relay records. In 2007, his 4x200-meter relay ran a mark of 1:25.52 and his 4x100 relay set the Littleton Invite record of 41.61. As a senior, Dodson raced to an eighth-place finish in the 100m at the AAU National Championship with a time of 10.81.

PERSONAL: Quinton Dodson is the son of Cyrus Dodson and Peggy Mauala. His older brothers Deon and Shannon were high school All-Americans. His brother Jeremy set the CU records in the indoor and outdoor 200 and was part of the record setting 4x100 relay. His other brother, A.J. Whitaker, is also a sophomore on the CU track team. He lists his hobbies as art.
