2010: Indoor: Putnam concentrated in the middle distances, starting with one race in the 600-yard run. He was eighth in the 600 at the Potts Indoor Invite (1/23) after running 1:17.35. Putnam ran three 800's. He ran a personal best 1:58.70 in the prelims at the Air Force Invite (1/12) to place fifth. Putnam finished seventh in the finals the following day (1:59.50).

Outdoor: Putnam participated in five 800's during the outdoor season. He recorded his best time and finish (1:55.96, third) at the Fum McGraw Open (5/8) to end his freshman campaign.

HIGH SCHOOL: Putnam was a member of the 2007 Colorado State 4A Track & Field Championship team at Cherokee Trail, where the team was also, conference and regional champions. The Cougars also won the league championship in 2009.

HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 800-meters: 1:56.8.

PERSONAL: Travis Putnam was born on January 26, 1991, in Aurora, Colo. to Todd and Dany Putnam. He has one sister, Jeanine. His hobbies are playing sports, video games and reading. Putnam volunteered at Adam's Camp (a camp in the mountains for special needs children). He is also half Peruvian and is fluent in Spanish.
