Request the CU Spirit Program
The University of Colorado Spirit Program is highly engaged across communities throughout Colorado, participating in charitable, non-profit, and private events year-round. The Spirit Program is committed to sharing the pride and tradition of CU Athletics across the state.
Request window: Submit at least 2, but no more than 8, weeks before your event. All requests are made through the online form and are considered first come, first served. Submitting the form does not guarantee your request will be fulfilled.

Cheer

Cheers & Fight SongThe Cheer team can perform cheers and the fight song.

StuntsAvailable if the appearance location is an approved surface.
Dance

Dance RoutinesPerformed to music you provide.

Fight SongThe Dance team can perform the fight song as well.
How to Request
Timing

Submit 2 to 8 Weeks AheadThe Spirit Program is made up of students, so availability depends on their class and work schedules, which change often.

Last-Minute RequestsWe understand that things come up and will accept them, but they may be hard to fill.
Our Response

Allow One WeekYou will receive an email from CUBuffsSpirit@colorado.edu with an approval, a denial, or a follow-up with more questions.
Confirmation

Two Weeks Before Your EventIf your request is approved, you will receive an official confirmation email two weeks prior to the event.
Pricing
Updated pricing for appearances, effective July 1, 2026.

Policies
Mileage & Fees

$0.65 Per Mile, RoundtripCharged for any appearance outside of Boulder and paid directly to the driver for gas.

How Mileage Is CalculatedBased on the total round-trip distance from 2150 Stadium Drive, Boulder, CO 80309 to the event location.

Additional FeesMay apply for extended travel, special accommodations, or other event-specific requirements.
Approvals

Venues That Check IDRequests for a bar, liquor store, club, restaurant, or any venue that requires an ID to enter are reviewed by the Spirit Program and accepted or denied case by case.

Right to DeclineWe reserve the right to deny any request at any time.
Payment
Payment is processed after the appearance has been successfully completed.
Speedtype (Campus)

Charged After the AppearanceFor University of Colorado campus requests, the speedtype provided on the request form will be charged unless we have been notified otherwise.

InvoiceAn invoice is issued after the appearance, with payment instructions and submission details included.
