Cheer & Dance Appearance Request Form
The University of Colorado Spirit Program is highly engaged across communities throughout Colorado, participating in charitable, non-profit, and private events year-round. The Spirit Program is committed to sharing the pride and tradition of CU Athletics across the state.
If you would like to request the CU Cheer or Dance teams for your event, please review the policies and fill out the form below.
- All requests must be made via this online form and are considered on a first come first served basis.
- Completion of this form does not guarantee the fulfillment of the request.
- The Spirit Program is comprised of students and appearance availability is subject to their class and work schedule. Due to the changing nature of schedules, we encourage requests to be submitted at least 2 but not more than 8 weeks prior to the event. We understand that things do come up and will accept last minute requests but please note they may be hard to fill.
- What to expect when requesting;
- Cheer – can perform cheers, fight song and stunts (if appearance location is an approved surface)
- Dance – can perform dance routines to music provided as well as perform the fight song
- After submission, please allow one week for us to respond to your request. You will receive an e-mail from CUBuffsSpirit@colorado.edu with an approval, denial, or a follow up with more questions. Please note, if your request is approved you will receive an official confirmation e-mail two weeks prior to your event.
- Additional fees may apply for appearances requiring extended travel, special accommodations, or other event-specific requirements
- We reserve the right to deny any request at any time.
- Requests for appearances that are held at a bar, liquor store, club, restaurant or any venue that requires an ID to get in will be reviewed by the Spirit Program and may be accepted or denied on a case-by-case basis.
- Any appearance that is outside of Boulder will also be charged mileage at a rate of $0.65/mile (roundtrip), which goes directly to the driver for gas.
- Mileage is calculated from: 2150 Stadium Drive Boulder, CO 80309
- Mileage charges will be based on the total round-trip distance from the above address to the event location.

- Speedtype (campus):
- Please note that charges will be processed following the successful completion of the appearance.
- For University of Colorado campus requests, the speedtype provided on the appearance request form will be charged accordingly, unless we have been notified otherwise.
- Credit Cards:
- Please note that an invoice will be issued following the successful completion of the appearance. Payment instructions and submission details will be included with the invoice.
- Checks
- Following the successful completion of the appearance, an invoice will be issued. Payment instructions and billing details will be included with the invoice.

Updated Pricing for Appearances Effective July 1, 2026
Community & External Requests - $250 per hour (up to 4 members) and $500 per hour (up to 8 members)
University of Colorado Campus Appearance Request (paid using a University speedtype) - $200 per hour (up to 4 members) and $300 per hour (up to 8 members)
