This year, the Buffalo Belles will not be hosting luncheons on either of the Bye weeks. Please do not come to the Touchdown Club on October 15 or November 12.
The inception of the Buffalo Belles traces back to 1970 when Martha Johnson, the driving force behind its establishment, envisioned a platform for women to delve into the intricacies of football and bolster their support for the University of Colorado (CU) sports. Originally dubbed the 'Ladies Quarterback Club, and meeting at a local bowling alley called Olympic Lanes & Lounge, the initiative gained momentum with the endorsement of CU Head Football Coach, Eddie Crowder. Under Martha's guidance, the group pioneered gatherings where women congregated to glean insights from various football coaches, laying the foundation for a cherished tradition.

Proudly committed to supporting athletic scholarships and CUAD Operations, the Buffalo Belles harness their resources through membership dues, luncheon fees, and direct contributions to the Buffalo Belles Martha Johnson Scholarship Endowment, established September 15th, 2011. The proceeds from their luncheon events are channeled towards a myriad of endeavors including, but not limited to, student-athlete scholarships, financial aid, tutoring services, equipment provision, and team travel. Moreover, these efforts serve to nurture and expand the Martha Johnson Scholarship Endowment, perpetuating Martha's enduring legacy of empowerment and advocacy within CU Athletics. How To Get Involved
As mentioned, when you support the Buffalo Belles, you'll be promoting the rich heritage and tradition of Colorado athletics, all while enjoying the camaraderie of a multi-generational group of avid Buff fans (male fans are always welcome too)!
The best way to get involved is to become a Buffalo Belles Member. You can email BuffaloBelles@colorado.edu if you have any questions about this process.
The luncheons are also a large part of what the Buffalo Belles are about. At the luncheons you get to meet the student-athletes up close and personal - finding out what motivates them, why they chose CU and more!
- Hear revealing anecdotes about the programs and a prognosis for the future from the coaches.
- Get the inside scoop on recruiting, coaching strategies, and rising stars.
- Gain valuable insights and firsthand knowledge of the goals of the athletic department.
- Enjoy the camaraderie of other avid Buffs fans.
The Buffalo Belles and Friends also have corporate table packages available. Full season tables (11 luncheons) are $6,000 and include 10 guests per luncheon. Half seasons are $3,500 and include six luncheons, and single luncheons are $1,250. To secure your corporate table, click here.

The Buffalo Belles - Martha Johnson Endowment
The objective, a fully endowed scholarship existing into perpetuity. As many of you know, this type of funding is proving to be the very future of athletic department scholarships; it is a staple at many schools, with whom our Buffs compete.
By utilizing the format of an endowment, we assure our Buffalo Belles’ scholarship donations will perpetually enable student-athletes to enjoy the benefits of our commitment to them. Perhaps in the future one of your relatives will know you helped create this scholarship.
