The roll call of Goucher’s accomplishments in cross country and indoor and outdoor track are as long as anyone in collegiate history. A four-time NCAA individual champion, one of just three CU performers to win that many (1998 cross country, 1997 and 1998 3,000-meter indoor, 1998 outdoor 5,000-meter run), he was an 11-time All-American combined for the three sports. He won four district cross country titles, 12 individual conference titles (Big Eight and Big 12), including three in cross country, and was a part of four conference championship teams and the holder of one NCAA and three school records. He has gone one to have an outstanding professional career and was a member of the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team.
