A four-year letterwinner, Kelly Campbell is the most decorated volleyball player in University of Colorado history... A four-time first-team All-Big 12 selection, she was twice an All-American and also earned Academic All-American status as a senior in 1999 ... She exited CU having played in 431 consecutive games after starting all 120 possible career matches ... She continues to hold 23 out of 27 match, season and career assist marks in the CU record book. She finished her career as the NCAA leader in career assists per game with an average of 14.45 per game, a mark that still ranks second in NCAA history ... Her 6,228 career assists are a CU record, ranked seventh in NCAA history at the time of her graduation and still ranks 12th in NCAA history ... She had a career 3.7 grade point average and was a member of CU's 4.0 club in the Fall of 1999. She was a recipient of the President's Scholar Award and the Big 12 Conference Postgraduate Scholarship and also earned the Nation's Bank Community Champion Award ... She was awarded CU's career achievement award after her playing days were done and she had her jersey honored by CU in 2000 ... After graduating from CU she played for the U.S. national team and played in the inaugural season of the USPV and led the league in assists playing for the St. Louis Quest ... She currently resides in Denver with her husband, CU graduate Michael McFadden (the CU barrel man from the late 1990s), and two children, Campbell, 2, and Piper, 1.
