Postgame Quotes

Colorado coach Ceal Barry
GENERAL-"I think we have to develop the bench like I have said before. We have been playing well together as a team and the type of the defense we play wears people down. Off the bench, I like Amber (Metoyer), Maria (Billingsley) and (Melissa) Hobbs.
ON COLORADO STARTERS-"I am still developing the starting lineup, but it is not about who is out there the first minute, it is who is getting the bulk of the minutes. The exhibition games are helping me to determine who will be playing a lot of those minutes."
ON RICE-"I have got two tapes on Rice in my locker right now. They are a veteran team and we are less experienced then them. We do get to play on our court, which will give us some advantage. I wouldn't mind if we had a few games under our belt before we played them. It will be a tough opener, but we will just have to put ourselves in the position to beat them."
ON F AMBER METOYER-"Her conditioning in the weight room and the track during the summer time enable her to do what she does on the court. She is all over the place and that is because of all the conditioning she has done in the off-season.
ON FREE THROWS-"Got a little physical out there today. We did get to shoot more free throws and I am glad to see that our percentage got higher from the line. You could tell Moscow was really tired and frustrated. They have been on the road for a long time and showed signs of fatigue."
Colorado F Amber Metoyer
GENERAL-"It is definitely a different game at the college level. It is a much faster pace and more complex. I am still trying to get the hang of the offense and learn all the defensive sets."
