Wildcats Edge Out Buffs, 66-64

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Pervis Pasco scored 18 points and Nick Williams added 14 as Kansas State beat Colorado 66-64 on Wednesday night.

Matt Siebrandt hit a free throw with 12 seconds remaining, and Blair Wilson's last second 3-point shot fell short to give Kansas State its first win over Colorado since 1999.

Kansas State (11-13, 5-8 Big 12) has won five of its last six at home, while Colorado (13-11, 4-9) is 0-7 in conference road games.

The Wildcats overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to tie the game at 39 with 14:44 remaining. The lead went back-and-forth four times before Colorado took a 53-48 lead with 6:03 left.

But Gilson DeJesus hit a 3 to ignite a 13-1 Kansas State run that gave the Wildcats a 61-54 lead with 47.6 left. Colorado scored 10 points in the final 40 seconds, but Kansas State made 5-of-8 free throws to secure the win.

Wilson scored 19 points and David Harrison had 14 for Colorado.

The Wildcats took an early 11-7 lead, but Nick Mohr scored with 14:18 remaining to ignite a 14-3 Colorado run. The Buffaloes led by as many as 10 in the first half before Marcello DeBarrosa and Pasco scored in the final four minutes of the half to cut Colorado's lead to 29-22 at halftime.

Colorado forward D.J. Harrison left midway into the first half with a broken finger and didn't return in the second. He scored seven points.
