COLORADO NOTES
Colorado has now won 12 straight over CSU in Boulder, and upped its advantage all-time to 50-6 in Boulder and 84-31 overall.
It was CU's third straight win in the series, the eighth time the Buffs have reeled off three or more wins in succession against the Rams (CSU has done it three times).
Colorado had eight runs of 4-0 or better in the game before CSU had two, which by the time the Rams scored for the second time back-to-back, CU led, 63-42.
Six of the last 10 games in the series have been decided by 20 or more points (three a side).
Colorado concludes non-conference action with a 10-3 record, tying its best under Ricardo Patton as the Buffs also posted 10-3 marks in 2000-01 and 1999-2000. CU is now 63-22 in non-league regular season games under Patton.
Colorado tied its season best with 12 steals (CU also had 12 against North Texas).
Michel Moraindais scored a season-high 24 points, his fourth 20-plus game of the season. It was the fifth time he has led the team in scoring this year, a team best. He also tied for his career high in assists with seven (he had that many against Texas A&M in 2002).
CU shot a season-best 57.4 percent tonight (35-of-61), snapping a streak of 10 straight games under 50 percent (the Buffs topped 50 percent in the first two games of the year).
Lamar Harris tied his career high in rebounds with nine.
COLORADO STATE NOTES
Colorado State was outrebounded for only the third time in 15 games tonight.
Colorado State is now 7-2 when a player scores 20 or more points in a game; both losses came in road games (Ronnie Clark-21 at SIU)
Clark has scored in double figures 9 games in a row, 11 of the past 12 games
