BOULDER-- Freshman point guard Marcus Hall earns CU Athlete of the Week honors for his performance in Colorado's defeat of California last Saturday, as he led all scorers with a career-high 22 points.

Hall scored 14 of his game-high 22 points in the first half, as his performance was instrumental in helping Colorado defeat the Golden Bears, 78-60. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Hall picked up the team's scoring production after teammates Michel Morandais and Blair Wilson were both held scoreless in the first half. Hall ignited a 10-5 run in the opening stanza, scoring eight points in a span of 1:20 on a pair of 3-pointers and a jump shot.

In addition to his career-best 22 points, four 3-pointers, and three steals against the Bears, Hall handed out a personal-best eight assists in CU's 73-62 victory over Oregon State earlier in the week. Hall has started his college career strong as the freshman leads the Buffaloes in assists (14) and steals (9).

Tera Bjorklund (Women's Basketball) was also nominated for this week's award.
