Women's Basketball's Waner Named Athlete of the Week

Colorado took the lead on a 3-pointer by Waner to give Colorado a 55-51 lead with 7:18 left. The Buffs never trailed again, leading by as many as seven down the stretch.
Coming off the bench Waner finished six-of-seven from the field and a perfect three-of-three from the three-point line. She also posted career highs of five rebounds and three steals against the Trojans. All three steals led to points off turnovers for the Buffaloes as Waner scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half.
As a freshman Waner has played in all nine games of the season and has started in two. She has completed 18 treys throughout the season, only behind senior Kate Fagan's 26, and Waner has retained an impressive .486 completion rate for 3-point shooting.
