Colorado vs. California Post Game Notes

- CU is 4-1 to start the season for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign

 

- Two of Colorado's top three scorers, Michel Morandais and Blair Wilson (with a combined average of 32.3 points per game this season), went scoreless in the first half.

 

- At 14:57 in the first half California took their only lead of the game.  Colorado quickly ended their lead 12 seconds later, when Glean Eddy completed a lay-up on the left and was fouled by Marquise Kately.   Eddy added the foul shot giving Colorado the lead again 10-9.

 

- Lamar Harris attempted the first four Colorado shots of the game, converting two making the score, 4-2.

 

- Harris grabbed a career-high 11 defensive rebounds and a career-high 12 total rebounds. 

 

- Marcus Hall went on an 8-point run himself at 13:10 in the first half, netting two 3-pointers in a row.  Hall had a career night making four 3-pointers on six attempts.  He was the game's leading scorer with 22 points.

 

- In the first five minutes of the second half, Colorado went on a 13-6 run increasing their lead to 14 points.

 

- Colorado took its biggest lead of 23 points with nine minutes left in the game, going on a 16-6 run.

 

- David Harrison had one block shot; needing seven more blocks to become the school's all-time leader.
