o WITH THE WIN-The Buffs extended their winning streak to four games...Improved to 3-0 in neutral site games, 2-1 against the Wildcats this season, 11-7 against K-State in Big 12 play, and 4-6 in the conference tournament, 4-0 in games televised on either ESPN or ESPN 2.
o WRIGHT STUFF-Senior James "Mookie" Wright didn't start the game but proved to be a spark from the bench as he came into the contest and launched a pair of treys during the Buffs' 15-0 run. But Wright's biggest play came when he took an in-bounds pass with 1.8 seconds remaining in the game and turned it into the game-winning three point play before sprinting off the court.
o ON THE RUN-The first half story could be told in runs. Kansas State opened on a 5-0 spurt, but the Buffs answered with a 15-0 run of their own grabbing a lead they would hold until the 3:24 mark of the half when K-State tied the score at 29 on the heels of a 24-15 run of their own.
o SEEING DOUBLE- Forward Lamar Harris, a junior college transfer from Compton, recorded his first career double-double with the Buffs. Harris scored 10 points and netted 11 rebounds.
o BIG D-And we don't mean Dallas (the site of this year's conference tourney) rather this stands for 7-foot center David Harrison who recorded 21 points on the night, added 8 rebounds and blocked 7 shots. It was Harrison's fifth 20-plus point effort this season.
o TOO CLOSE TO CALL-The game against the Wildcats came down to the wire tied as late as 3.4 seconds left in the game. All in all the match-up featured five lead changes and 10 tied scores. It was the Buffs second victory by a single point (the first coming in an upset of then-No. 6 Kansas at Boulder on Jan. 22)
