No. 45 Buffs Win On The Road

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Colorado women's tennis team evened its conference record with a 6-1 defeat of Texas Tech on Saturday. The No. 45-ranked Buffs now stand at 8-3 (2-2 in Big 12 play).

The Buffs got off to an early start taking the doubles point before rattling off victories in five of the six singles slots. The lone Buff to suffer defeat was Lia Dimingo who dropped a straight-set decision 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles slot.

At No. 1, Dominique Lemperle defeated the Red Radiers' Irina Tereschenko in a close match, 7-6, 6-4. Katherine Anne Lutgert, Kendra Strandemo, Jessica Vanderdys and Morgan Sall each collected straight set wins in the No. 3 through No. 6 slots to give the Buffs their victory.

Colorado's next test comes on Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. when they take on the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, Texas.
