WITH THE WIN...
o Colorado picked up its first 8-0 league record at the Coors Events Center since the beginning of the Big 12.
o Colorado won it's 14th home game at the Coors Events Center this season-the most in Colorado men's basketball history.
o Colorado has it's first winning record in Big 12 play since the 1996-97 season.
o It is the first time since the 1998-99 season Colorado has won at least three straight conference games. During that season Colorado beat Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Iowa State in a span of 15 days.
o It is only the fourth time since the beginning of the Big 12 that Colorado has won three or more conference games in a row. It happened twice during the 1996-97 season-the first season of Big 12 play.
o With the Buffaloes collecting their 19th victory, it is the first time since the 1996-97 season that Colorado has won more than 18 games overall. From the 1990-91 season to the 2002-03 season, Colorado has won 18+ games only three times.
TRIPLE-DOUBLE-For the second time this season, David Harrison collected a triple-double scoring 20 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and blocking 11 shots. It is only the third time ever a Colorado player has recorded a triple-double after Chauncey Billups did it during the 1996-97 season and Harrison did it against Stetson earlier this year. It is the first time the feat has been accomplished by a player during conference season.
With 43 tonight, Colorado now has 690 rebounds this season during Big 12 play breaking a team record for most rebounds during the conference season. The old record of 659 was set last year.
The nine blocked shots in the first half is a Colorado team and Coors Events Center record for blocks in one half. The old record was eight, which occurred on three different occasions.
With a 9-7 conference record, it is the first time since the 1996-97 season Colorado has been two games above .500. (Colorado was 12-5 in the Big 12 that season-the last time Colorado was in the NCAA Tournament).
Stephane Pelle picked up yet another double-double tonight, his 12th of the season and 37th of his career.
Stephane Pelle, starting in his final home game, moved into a 10th place tie on the Career Games Started list with 75. He is three games away from tying Will Smith (1996-2000) for career games played with 123.
WITH 11 BLOCKED SHOTS...
o David Harrison broke his own individual record for blocks in a game that he set against Stetson earlier this year.
o He passed Donnie Boyce to move into fourth place on the all-time blocked shots chart.
o After tonight's game, Harrison is averaging 3.6 blocks per game, which is .6 better than Poncho Hodges' 2.6 blocks per game he held during the 1991-92 season.
If Colorado wins one post-season game it will be only the third time a Colorado team has won 20 games with two of those during the Patton era.
The 15 blocks tonight is a new Colorado team record.
