o        CU closes the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 8-3 record (8-4 overall)

 

o        Northern Colorado scored the first two points of the game, after that CU went on a  9-0 run (5:05 min.) and never trailed again

 

o        Tonight's win over Northern Colorado is CU's 17th against the Bears in 35 meetings and first match up with UNC since 1978. CU has won the last five meetings in a row.

 

  • Fourth time this season - all at home - CU shot 50% or better from the floor

      o        Blair Wilson played his record 102nd consecutive game without fouling out

 

o        Blair Wilson improved his consecutive record game streak without fouling out to 2,663 minutes, his total minutes ranks 9th in minutes played in school history

 

  • Lamar Harris ranks first in Big 12 defensive rebounding (6.27), tonight he grabbed eight defensive, nine overall

  • Wilson made one 3-pointers vs. Northern Colorado to increase his total to 209? (six from the CU career record)

  • Sophomore Jayson Obazuaye made his straight start at point-guard (third of career)

  • Sophomore walk-on Scott Senger scored a career-high 12 points

  • Head Coach Ricardo Patton won his 133rd career game (14 from second place on the CU list)

  • The Buffaloes are a perfect 8-0 this season when leading at the 10, 5, 2-minute marks of the second half

  • CU's two non-conference opponents (Savannah State, Northern Colorado) were a combined 4-28 and 0-15 on the road after playing CU

  • UP NEXT for CU - Wednesday, Jan. 14 Colorado travels to Nebraska for their second conference game. CU has struggled in Lincoln in recent memory having won only once in seven tries since 1996-97. The lone win came in 2000-01 (60-57) when Blair Wilson and Michel Morandais were freshmen.
