BUFFS FALL AT MICHIGAN, 69-60 IN PRESEASON NIT

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Dion Harris scored a career-high 24 points and Lester Abram added 12 to lead Michigan to a 69-60 win over Colorado Wednesday in the second round of the Preseason NIT.
Courtney Sims also had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots for the Wolverines who advance to the semifinals of the tournament to play the winner of the Arizona-Wright State second-round game.
Richard Roby scored 18 points for Colorado with Marcus Hall adding 16. Julius Ashby had a game-high six blocked shots tying the CU school record for blocks in a road game.
Michigan, which is looking to become the first team to win the postseason NIT and preseason NIT the following season, led from start to finish.
The Wolverines built their largest lead of the game, 61-42, with 5:24 left. But Colorado rallied with 11 straight points to cut Michigan's lead to 61-53 with 2:44 remaining.
The Buffaloes tightened the score to 65-58 on Roby's 3-pointer with 56 seconds left, but a basket by Sims and two free throws by Harris sealed the win.
