November 30, 2004 | Football, General
BOULDER- Sophomore middle linebacker Thaddaeus Washington earned CU Athlete of the Week honors after recording 10 tackles (five solo and five assists) and two interceptions to help lead Colorado to a 26-20 victory over Big 12 North rival Nebraska in Lincoln this past Friday. The win helped the Buffs win the Big 12 North Division Title.
Â
Washington's two interceptions where the first two of his career, the first led to a Mason Crosby field goal to put CU up 10-0 in the first quarter; the second was very acrobatic as he caught the ball off of a ricochet in the fourth quarter with CU ahead 26-7. The Marrero (John Ehret), La. native had three clutch tackles as well, one for a loss and two that stopped the Cornhuskers short on third down.
