BOULDER - Amber Metoyer and Emily Waner, members of the University of Colorado women's basketball team, have each asked for a release from their scholarships, Ceal Barry announced Monday

"I'm extremely saddened and disappointed by Emily and Amber's decisions," said Barry.

Waner, a freshman guard, played in all 30 games for Colorado this season, starting eight. She averaged 7.1 ppg and 1.8 rpg in 25.9 mpg.  Metoyer, a sophomore forward/center, also played in all 30 games for CU, starting seven and averaging 6.0 ppg and 4.9 rpg in 19.2 mpg.

 

Barry's policy is to not comment in detail on personnel matters.
