GENERAL ? “It was a good game, a good win. There was some good, but some bad. But, overall, I thought the guys played fairly well. In fact, we had only 5 turnovers.”

ON BALANCE ? “I thought we did a pretty good job sharing the basketball. We had 19 assists.”

ON THE HALF COURT OFFENSE ? “It's finding its way. Guys are getting better at different reads and options. We just have to keep plugging away at it.”

ON THE BAD ? “Early on I thought there were combinations on the floor that I thought we didn't get solid defense from all 5 guys. Typically, it's just one breakdown, that's all any team needs is just one guy to breakdown. But we have to make sure that all five guys that are on the floor play with the same intensity at the defensive end.”

ON THE DEFENSIVE EFFORT ? “One thing that all the guys can expect is for me to harp on their defense all season long. Roby is working at his defense. We just have high expectations for all of these guys to be the best they can be, to not just be one-dimensional. You can't just be a guy that can just shoot the basketball. (Jayson) Obazuaye, what keeps him on the floor is his defense and crashing offensive boards. It's hard to sit him because of that. Defensively, it's more just a communication issue than an effort issue.”

ON THE PLAY OF MARCUS HALL ? “I thought he did a nice job tonight. I liked his energy; he's a team captain. He did a real nice job and rallied the troops.”

ON THE PLAY OF ANDY OSBORN ? “He's been solid all season long. Andy has been pretty consistent. He has had one poor night shooting the basketball, but overall, I think he has been pretty consistent.”

Cal Poly Head Coach Kevin Bromley

General- “I felt good about this game, we did a pretty good job, we were working up in the first half, and we did a good job keeping up.”

On Next Game- “We play Santa Clara coming up, and we just need to keep healthy and strong.  We are excited to have Travis (Busch) come back after being out with a foot problem.  He is a quick and tough guy, and really enthusiastic.  The guys are really excited to have him back because he keeps the team spirit up.”

On Fouls- “I apologized to my team about the technical foul that I received.  The guys told me that they would make it up for me in the second half, and I am sorry that happened.  In the second half the guys had a couple of fouls, we shot the ball and had nice runs but I wish we would have had more free throw shots.”

On CU- “We knew coming into the game that they shot long, and had long rebounds, and we knew that we needed to work on that coming into the game tonight.  Playing a non-conference team like Colorado is a benefit to us because it will help us going into our conference.  Colorado is a great team, they are athletic and have a good defense.  We just tried to slow them up in the second half, because that allowed us to make more plays.”

Colorado Players

GUARD RICHARD ROBY

On Defense ? “We needed stops, and if we kept the pressure on their ball-handlers, then they would cough up the ball, but we could have put them away in the first half if we played better defense.”

On Utah ? “We are looking forward to getting them (Utah) in here, and getting a win out of it.”

GUARD MARCUS HALL

On Atmosphere ? “When there are 2000 to 3000 people in here, we have to find self motivation. We came out taking them for granted. But we needed stops, and in the first half we were not getting them. However, when we get a stop, we can play with anybody in the open floor.”

On Richard Roby ? “Richard Roby would come off screens and get open and then he would hit the shots, and that makes it easier as a team.”
