Big 12 Tournament Notes

TOURNAMENT NOTES:

  • The #5 seed is 9-0 all-time vs. the #12 seed.

  • Iowa State is 4-1 all-time in first round games and 14-6 overall in tournament play.

  • Colorado is 2-2 all-time in first round games and 7-8 overall in tournament play.

  • Iowa State advances to play #4 Texas Tech. The #4 seed is 3-5 in second-round action, all against the #5 seed. Iowa State and Texas Tech met in the 1999 championship (73-59, Tech) and the 2001 semifinal (73-62, ISU).

  • This is the fourth two-point game in tournament history. The last was a 2003 first-round game between Oklahoma State and Missouri (56-54, OSU).

  • Ceal Barry ends her CU career with a record of 427-242 in 22 seasons in Boulder, and an overall mark of 510-284 in 26 seasons.
  • This is the first time in 14 seasons that CU did not beat a ranked opponent.
  • Colorado has lost 14 straight against ranked teams dating back to a 69-59 win over No. 24 Baylor on Jan. 7, 2004.
